PAC Vendor Landscape 2025

Eurotech recognized as a Top Contributor to open-source IoT and Edge Computing in PAC Vendor Landscape 2025

Eurotech, a leading provider of edge computing and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has been recognized by PAC (Pierre Audoin Consultants) as a Top Contributor to community-driven, open-source projects in IoT and Edge Computing in its Vendor Landscape 2025 report.

The report identifies Eurotech among a select group of companies driving innovation in open-source ecosystems, highlighting its active role within major foundations such as the Eclipse Foundation. Open-source software (OSS) has become a cornerstone of the digital economy, with PAC noting its growing importance in enabling interoperability, innovation, and vendor-neutral architectures in IoT and edge computing.

Eurotech has played a key role in this evolution. As a founding member of the Eclipse IoT Working Group, the company has contributed to widely adopted projects such as Eclipse Kura and Eclipse Kapua: open frameworks that support edge computing applications including AI, device management, and data integration across distributed environments.

“More than ever, OSS is an important element for companies and public institutions to maintain their sovereignty and remain capable of acting. To enable this, we need players who contribute to OSS rather than abusing the system to their advantage. We need more OSS fair-play champions like Eurotech,” said Arnold VogtHead of Digital & IoT at PAC.

Eurotech’s commitment to open source is rooted in a broader vision of sustainability, transparency, and shared innovation.

“For many years, Eurotech has embraced the concepts of sustainability and circular economy… The latter evolved into a substantial commitment to the concept of open source,” said Robert AndresHead of Partner Ecosystem at Eurotech and company representative in the Steering Committee of the Eclipse IoT Working Group.

PAC also highlights Eurotech’s strategic role within the Eclipse IoT ecosystem, where it continues to contribute to technologies enabling, with cyber-resilient software, real-time edge analytics, Edge AI, but also secure data and device management.

Looking ahead, the report identifies key trends shaping the market, including the rise of Edge AI, increasing demand for digital sovereignty, and stronger cybersecurity regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act. Open-source technologies are expected to play a central role across all these domains.

With its strong focus on open standards and community-driven development, Eurotech is well positioned to support enterprises in building scalable, secure, and future-ready IoT solutions.
