Customer solution: High-performance solution in the control cabinet

The customer required a compact yet extremely powerful control platform for direct installation in existing control cabinet environments. The panel PCs used previously were increasingly reaching their limits: their computing power was no longer sufficient for modern automation software, and the devices offered only limited expansion and connection options for future requirements.

At the same time, the new system had to be suitable for industrial use, durable, and easy to service. The control system is used to monitor and regulate complex systems, including those in the field of energy generation.

Another key aspect was the separation of the computing unit and the display. In the previous setup, the failure of individual components often meant that the entire Panel PC had to be repaired or replaced. In future, it should be ensured that in the event of a defect, either the display can continue to be used or — in the event of a display failure — the industrial PC continues to operate without restriction. This concept increases the availability of the installation and significantly simplifies service and maintenance processes.
